How To Get Rid Of Spiders From Your Home
Spiders are really dangerous insects one should get rid off. They are mostly known to hide in the corners of ceilings of homes. While these insects can be threatening, here are a few tips on how to get rid of spiders from your home.
How To Get Rid Of Spiders From Your Home
Use natural repellents
Spiders hate the smell of peppermint, citrus or vinegar, so you can use these natural repellents to sack spiders from your dwelling spaces.
“To make a peppermint spray, mix 10-15 drops of peppermint essential oil with water in a spray bottle,” expert advises. “Spray the mixture around your home, paying special attention to windowsills, doorways, and other areas where spiders might enter.
“You can also rub citrus peels or place cotton balls dipped in vinegar around your home for a similar effect.”
Seal any cracks and entry points
Spiders can squeeze through any tiny cracks or openings in order to get to their destination, so it’s important to seal them up. “Pay special attention to windows, doors, and vents,” expert says, “You can use caulk or sealant to seal up any cracks or gaps where necessary.”
Keep your home clean and tidy
Spiders are love clutter and debris, so it’s vital to keep your home neat and well organised. “Regularly vacuum and dust to get rid of any unnecessary clutter,” says expert.
Plant spider-repellent plants
There are a number of plants that spiders really hate, such as peppermint, lavender, basil, and citronella, so the expert advises that you plant these around your garden to sack away any spiders and inside your home itself.
Remove food sources
Spiders are attracted to other insects, so it’s important to get rid of any insect pests in your home and empty bins regularly. You can use traps, baits, or insecticides to get rid of insects.
