You can now retrieve your lost BECE certificate as well as your lost WASSCE certificate no matter which year you took the examination. This will, however, require that you remember some important information about the examination. Knowing the office to visit and how to go about the request for your certificate from WAEC is also important if you are to be successful.
What You Need To Know Before You Retrieve Your Lost BECE And WASSCE Certificates
WAEC now issues an Attestation of Results for certificates that have been misplaced or damaged. The attestation of the result is valid and a replacement for the original lost or damaged certificate. WAEC issues a certificate for the exam you wrote only once. But after that, if for some reason you lose your certificate, you can get it restored to you in another form.
The Council only issues the Attestation of Results to individuals or persons for their possession. The Attestation when ready can be collected personally by the applicant from any WAEC office nationwide.
