Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, the Founder and leader of World Wide Miracle Outreach, has stated that he won’t be part of the national cathedral controversies.
In an interview on Starr Chat with host, Bola Ray, Dr. Tetteh emphasized the need for inclusiveness in the construction of the National Cathedral. He explained that the project should have been a national project and not being politicised.

Dr. Tetteh expressed support for the concept of a National Cathedral, having even made a financial contribution towards it. However, he now questions the handling of funds and the controversies surrounding the project, making him hesitant to participate.

Dr. Tetteh pointed out that the project’s funds come from the people, and he believes it’s essential to maintain transparency and public trust. He cited the resignations of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams and Rev. Eastwood Anaba from the Board of Trustees due to the lack of an independent audit of public funds contributed to the National Cathedral as a significant concern.
In summary, Dr. Tetteh supports the idea of a National Cathedral but is apprehensive about its current state due to controversies and financial uncertainties.

“If everybody was put together and all hands were on desk it wouldn’t have been an NPP agenda. It will have been a national agenda. What I am saying is that we politicize things so much that what is supposed to be a national agenda for our community becomes a political party’s agenda. The beauty is that we should have had a National Cathedral, most nations I have been to have National Cathedral,” Dr. Tetteh stated.

“You don’t want to serve on controversies, no I will not take it. I would have from the beginning but not now. If it is already a mess why would you want to be part? I am yet to understand why Dr. Eastwood is no more there, Archbishop Duncan Williams is no more there,” Dr. Tetteh stated.
