I’m Sorry But I Don’t Joke With My Brand – Wizkid Breaks Silence On His Absence At Accra Concert

Multiple award-winning Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Wizkid, officially known as Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has reacted to his absence at the Accra Concert dubbed “Wizkid Live”. In his recent post on Twitter, Wizkid apologised to his Ghanaians fans for his absence. According to him, he didn’t absent himself on purpose but it was a result of organizing error.
“Ghana is a country I hold so dead to my heart, first and foremost, I wanna apologize to all my fans! Y’all know I would never do anything, without a serious reasoning behind it. My brand is something I don’t joke with. I sincerely apologize, to everyone who made the effort to come out for me last night. I was charged up, looking forward to doing this show. However, please understand that every decision I made co-sided with honoring my fans, and would only make a drastic decision like this because it was the right to do and I had to. Unfortunately, up until the day of this show, there continued to be safety and production issues that prevented ms from putting on a high quality show that my fans deserve. My Team and Myself are working on delivering a show to my amazing fans in Ghana. It will be just us, me and you. Date and details soon. Love you” he said
This comes after Wizkid left the people who purchased the tickets for his Wizkid Live Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium angry.
The concert which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022, is being described by many as a total waste of time and money.
