As previously stated, the Yokohama National University Scholarship in Japan for International Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students, and Doctoral Students is a MEXT-funded scholarship. All expenses will be reimbursed.
MEXT Scholarship Stipend: 144,000 Yen Per Month For Master Applicant.
The monthly tuition for Ph.D. courses is 145,000 Yen.
Accommodation: The University will provide free housing.
Allowance: A monthly allowance of 2,000 or 3,000 Yen will be added to the Monthly Scholarship.
Non-Regular Students and Preparatory Education: 143,000 Yen Monthly
No Tuition Fee: The Entrance Examination Fee, as well as the Full Tuition Fee Course, will be covered by the MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship.
The round-trip airline ticket will be in Economy class for the flight.

An applicant who wishes to be admitted to the Doctor Course must meet the academic requirements listed below for Japan Scholarships for International Students.
An applicant must have outstanding academic records in both undergraduate and master’s degrees.
A four-year bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree are usually required.
Proof of English proficiency (an official TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent score) or English Proficiency Certificate.
Master Course Criteria:
An applicant who wishes to be admitted to the Doctor Course must meet the Academic Requirements for Japan Study Abroad Scholarships.
- An applicant should have outstanding Undergraduate academic records.
- Applicants should typically have a four-year bachelor’s degree.
- Proof of an applicant’s English proficiency (a TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent official score) or English Proficiency Certificate
