Julius Malema to Speak at "A Day of Dialogue With Arise Ghana"

Julius Malema of South Africa will be in Ghana to speak with the youth on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024. His visit to Ghana is a result of the invitation from Arise Ghana. The programme has been dubbed “A Day of Dialogue With Arise Ghana.”

Arise Ghana is a bipatisan civil society organisation made up of young Ghanaians and all political activists who believe in the economic freedom of Africans as individuals and the African economies.

The dialogue will take place at the College of Surgiance and Pysicians in Accra, Ghana, at 2 p.m.

Julius Malema of South Africa has become a symbol of Africa’s courage, determination, and self-belief, which has ignited passion for economic freedom in South Africa. His inspiring and challenging speeches, ideology, and focus on redeeming Africa have caught fire in many African countries, including Ghana.

His connection with Arise Ghana is a testament to this, as he lands in Ghana to inspire the youth of Ghana with his fire-packed conviction of what African youths are capable of and can do to help save our continent from economic slavery.

Julius Malema: From Youth Leader to Fiery Politician

Julius Malema, born in 1981, is a prominent South African figure known for his outspoken nature and unwavering dedication to social justice.

His political journey began within the African National Congress (ANC), the party that spearheaded the fight against apartheid.

Rising through the ranks, he became president of the ANC Youth League in 2008, a position that thrust him into the national spotlight. His fiery oratory and radical stance on issues like economic inequality and land redistribution resonated with many, particularly marginalised youth.

However, Malema’s tenure was tumultuous. Controversial statements and clashes with the ANC leadership culminated in his expulsion in 2012. Undeterred, Malema co-founded the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in 2013, a far-left party advocating for the nationalisation of key industries and radical land redistribution.

The EFF, with its signature red berets and militant aesthetic, quickly gained traction among disillusioned youth seeking a more transformative agenda than the ANC’s perceived moderation. Malema’s activism continues to challenge the status quo, sparking both passionate support and fierce opposition in South Africa’s complex political landscape.
