#KenMustGo: Ofori-Atta Must Go! NPP MPs Mount Pressure on President

#KenMustGo is trending on Twitter now because Members of Parliament for the ruling NPP government have now realized that it is time they sacrificed their own non-performing Minister of Finance to save the nation.
The Ofori Atta Must Go Now! The call has received a boost as NPP MPs mount pressure on Akufo Addo to sack the Minister who is believed to be one of the reasons for the poor performance of the Ghanaian economy.
Members of Parliament of the ruling NPP government have called for the head of the Finance Minister, Hon. Ken Ofori Atta at a press conference. They indicated that efforts towards getting the Minister out of office through the leadership of parliament and the party leadership have proved futile.
They sighted the Ministers conflict of interest posture and the poor performance of the Ghanaian economy as major reasons why the current Finance Minister who has been at the post for the past 6 years must be shown the door to ensure the ailing Ghanaian economy is salvaged before further harm is caused.
The CEDI has depreciated to a low point, a situation that has not been experienced in the last 22 years and the CEDI is also currently the lowest-performing currency behind war-torn Ukraine.
The General prices of goods and services in Ghana have headed upward, deteriorating the real value of salaries as fuel prices go up, and the CEDI continues to lose value against the dollar and other major trading currencies.
In their Press Conference, they stated that
“We are members of the major majority caucus of the parliament of Ghana and we here so present, represent a greater number of the said caucus. My name is Andy APPIAH KUBI, and I am only here as a spokesperson for the majority group without more.”
“We have had occasions to point allegations of conflict of interest and lack of confidence filed against the leadership of our finance minister. The recent development within our economy are of great concern to the greater majority of members of our caucus and our constituents.”

“We have made our grieve concern to the President through the Parliamentary leadership and the leadership of the party without any positive response. We are by this medium communicating our strong desire that the President changes the Minister of Finance and the Minister of State in the Finance Ministry without further delay in other to restore hope to the financial sector and reverse the downward trend in the growth of the economy. The summary of our concern leads to a plie that the Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori Atta and the Minister of State be removed.”
