KNUST Announces Entry Requirements For 2024/2025 Undergraduate Admissions

Admissions into KNUST for the 2024/2025 academic year has been opened for undergraduate applicants. Let’s take a look at the entry requirements for the admissions process.

1. WASSCE/SSSCE Holders

  • Credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.
  •  Credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in Three Elective subjects with an Aggregate Score of 24 or better in the relevant area of study.

2. GBCE and ABCE Holders

GBCE: Credit passes in at least six subjects including English Language and Business Mathematics.

ABCE: Credit passes in the three relevant Compulsory subjects and three Optional subjects. Applicants need both GBCE and ABCE qualifications to qualify.

3. Advanced Level Holders

  • Five credit passes at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics.
  • At least Three credit passes in the relevant subjects at the Advanced Level.

4. Mature Students

  • Age of 25 years or above at the time of Application.
  •  Five GCE ‘O Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Passing an Entrance Examination and/or Interview.

5. HND Holders

  •  Three years relevant working experience.
  • Minimum Entry Requirements at WASSCE/SSSCE or Five credit passes at GCE O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.

6. International Applicants

Equivalent qualifications from an accredited/recognized institution.
– Applicants from French-speaking countries need to provide a minimum of one-year English Proficiency Certificate.

Applicants must purchase an E-Voucher for Ghȼ250.00 if applying from Ghana. International applicants and Ghanaians applying from abroad should not buy the e-voucher and use the provided link for online application. The non-refundable application processing fee for international applicants and Ghanaians applying from abroad is US$150.00.
