KNUST Level 200 Student Commits Suicide
News coming in indicates that a level 200 student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has committed suicide.
This sad incident happened in Wassa Akropong in the Western Region of Ghana following a misunderstanding he had with his father.
The deceased, Isaac Ofori was found hanging on a crossbar in his room on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
According to report, Isaac Ofori took in some hard liquors with his friends. His father wasn’t happy with this and decided to discipline him. So Isaac Ofori reportedly decided to end his life.

“We all saw him going to buy food to eat this morning, only to hear of his demise through hanging”, a resident in the community said.
The Western Regional police is currently conducting investigations.
This comes few weeks after a student at Takoradi Technical Institute committed suicide over broken heart.
According to report, the deceased, who had a girlfriend received the news that the girlfriend’s mother isn’t happy with their relationship. For this reason, the mother made it clear to them that they should break up with immediate effect.
This news broke the heart of the deceased and for this reason, he decided to end his life. This sad and unfortunate incident happened on Wednesday, 2nd August, 2023.

Before this sad incident, another suicide took place in the Ashanti region. Ernest Atta Kyei, a 38-year-old Headteacher at Apaaso Basic School, in a community in the Adwira Sekyeredumase Municipality committed suicide few days before his wedding.
This sad incident happened in the evening of Tuesday, August 1, 2023, around 9pm. According to report, the headteacher hanged himself on a bar in his room with his sponge.
Beside his body was a suicide Note which read; “I can no longer live on this earth any longer. Don’t blame anyone. Take care of my son for me, this is my father’s number”
