Ghanaian footballer Mohammed Kudus has paid a heartfelt tribute to his compatriot, Christian Atsu, who lost his life in the recent earthquake that hit parts of Turkey and Syria.
The tribute was made by Kudus during a match between Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie.
Kudus, who was a part of Ghana’s senior squad at the same time as Atsu, scored a goal in the 84th minute of the match, which Ajax won 4-0.
After scoring the goal, Kudus ran to the sideline and lifted his Ajax shirt to reveal another white shirt underneath with “RIP Atsu” written on it.
