A Lady Poisoned Herself After Suffering From Protracted Illness
Breaking news out of Lagos, Nigeria. A lady has tragically taken her life after suffering from a severe illness.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the report that Lilian Nwarache, age 39, committed suicide by drinking a bottle of insecticide.
The incident occurred in the Iwaya area of Lagos on November 3, 2023.
According to reports, A lady named Nwarache suffering from illness set to seek treatment at a church in Iwaya but had grown frustrated and desperate with her condition.
She took the drastic step of drinking a popular brand of insecticide, and afterwards, she attempted to jump into a nearby canal.
However, passers-by prevented her from doing so and rushed her to a hospital in the area.

Despite the efforts to save her life, Nwarache was pronounced deceased by a medical doctor on duty saying that she had been suffering from illness in a long run.
Three passports belonging to the deceased, along with her Samsung phone, were discovered in her bag.
In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said that “detectives were immediately sent to the scene.
Photographs were taken, the insecticide plastic containing little content, her three passports and one Samsung phone were recovered in her small bag.”
Hundeyin added that efforts are underway to contact the family members of the deceased.
This incident highlights the importance of mental health and access to medical care for those suffering from ongoing illnesses. Even in times of depression, taking insecticides is not the best idea.
It is a tragic reminder that more needs to be done to support individuals who are struggling with similar circumstances.
