Live Declaration of the Results of 2024 Presidential Election (LIVE) Ongoing
The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) is currently declaring the results of the 2024 Presidential Election.
Watch the full declaration of the election results. The results will be announced by the EC Chairperson, Madam Jane Mensah.
At the time of this publication, representatives of the various political parties and candidates were signing the final certified results to be delivered by the EC.
Speaking at the declaration of the results, the EC Chairperson stated that the commission had conducted a peaceful election and upheld the will of the people. She added that the EC ensures the choice of the voters is protected and safeguarded.
Results of 2024 Presidential Election—RESULT
NPP: Dr. Bawumia obtained 4,657,304 million plus votes, representing 41.61%
NDC: John Dramani Mahama obtained 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55%
He won by a staggering 1.6million votes difference.
Winner and elected president of the 2024 election per the EC is NDC’s John Dramani Mahama
11,191,422 were the valid votes cast on the day
239,109 were total rejected votes
11,430,531 were the total votes cast
Total voters on the register: 18,774,159
60.9% is the total turnout per the results released and used to declare the results.
The members of parliament elected and certified currently are as follows:
National Democratic Congress (NDC): 165+
New Patriotic Party (NPP): 60 so far
Independent Candidate: 1
President John Dramani is expected to address the nation at 7:00 PM after the EC announces the results this evening.
