Maria B receives backlash for supporting ban on ‘Joyland’

Maria B is receiving backlash for running a campaign against the transgender community and the Pakistani film “Joyland”.
The designer has been called out for hypocrisy for supporting the government’s ban on “Joyland”.
Here’re some reactions to Maria B’s statement about “Joyland”:
Where is Maria B’s dupatta/hijab in accordance with Quran and sunnah? How are her sleeveless clothes in accordance to Quran and sunnah? What a hypocrite pic.twitter.com/ToQna6wXvg

Maria B is not just one person. She represents the hypocrisy of the urban elite that enjoys all the perks of “liberalism” whilst extending their support to right wing extremists who hurt already vulnerable people and communities.

I am amazed at how Maria B conducts her business worth millions solely in cash because banks are unislamic. In this day and age, just wow.

Maria B. A definition: a woman whose own sexuality is threatened by a group of marginalized people, because she fears that they will be better at designing then her.

Maria B. is running a shameful and pathetic campaign against Transgender community and Joyland. She’s a known TERF who has been misguiding people and her actions are highly dangerous, putting transgender people and creators of the film at a great risk.#ReleaseJoyland
