A young Ghanaian lady identified as Oduro Richlove of Nsein Secondary School has taken the internet by storm with her simple submission on why her school is not seen in the National Science and Maths Quiz. Her words have amazed a lot of netizens with some naming her the most influential SHS student in Ghana. In an interview with an alumni of the school, she was asked a simple question, “why is your school not in the NSMQ” and what followed was history.

In her interview, she was asked why is her school not in the NSMQ and she answered “the Science and Maths Quiz is a show but my school is not for show”. Her claims are based on the fact that the main objective of her school is to produce nobles to correct the mistakes that those Science and Maths Quiz people are doing.
“The main objective of this school is to produce nobles to correct the mistakes that those Science and Maths Quiz people are doing and this school is not meant for show”. She went on by explaining that those big competitive schools, have students who are biologically academically good and it’s not the teachers that made them. “They are born with it” she stated. She asserted that these kind of students won’t come to a school like hers because they would prefer a school with well furnished infrastructure.
“The school will not tell you such, the school will tell you that we have teachers that have prepared and trained our students for such courses” she said. The interviewer expressed his support on the school’s side which she refuted immediately. She clarified that if that is true, the GES is a biased institution for selecting the best teachers for such schools and dumb teachers for the others. She asserted that all teachers write the same exam upon graduation and once passed, they are posted. If it is really the teachers’ effort that reflect in such schools then all schools should have such students. However that is not the case because these big schools select the best students and just give them a push.

She stated that if any random student is picked from these big schools and asked questions, they will fumble just like any other student but if the school picks for you, you will get the right answers you want. Her submission amazed the interviewer who is also an old student to the point that he asked if she is the school prefect.
