MTN Ghana has announced the return of its Zone data bundle offers with revised prices. MTN Data Zone bundle, before its suspension was an innovation that gives customers a 1-day validity bundle at discounted rates at the point of purchase. Subscription is through the Short Code *135#.
According to MTN the suspension of the innovative Data Zone bundle was due to a review of the bundle offer in line with the Significant Market Power (SMP) directives applied to MTN Ghana in June 2020, not to be the lowest priced on any offer in the industry
MTN added that it is currently engaging and collaborating with the Regulator, as we seek alignment on a revised Data Zone bundle to be reinstated as soon as possible.
Ghanaian users are currently expecting an increase in the price of such data offer. One gigabyte of data which used to sell at just 2.7 cedis may now be sold at 3.5 cedis or more.
