NaSIA directed Banks to do business with only schools it has registered, NACOPTS reaction
The directive by NaSIA was unnecessary since the registration process for schools had just commenced.
According to Mr. Gyetuah, private schools raised concerns when this came to their attention and they ensured the directive did not get carried out.
He added that NaSIA has registered just a little over 500 private schools as at the time it gave banks the said directive and the registered schools were just a fraction of schools in Greater Accra and some other areas.

Hence issuing such a directive was not going to work since NaSIA itself had not done its work of registering schools.
