NDC, NPP Primaries, Projected Presidential Candidates and Potential 2025 President of Ghana

This post takes a careful look at the NDC and NPP Primaries, Projected Presidential Candidates to be elected and Ghana’s next President-elect.
The two major political parties in Ghana will dominate the 2024 General elections and produce Ghana’s next president, to be inaugurated on January 7th, 2025.
The ruling NPP and the NDC, which is the major opposition, will have the fiercest election challenges in 2024.
While the NPP will be trying to manage its self-damaged reputation as a political party after 8 years in power under President Akufo Addo, the NDC will be less stressed with their past in marketing their party and Presidential candidate.
He who is in power and has failed the masses has more to do to win every vote out there from the floating voters because Ghanaians have a fresher memory of the realities they have been through under the Nana Addo-led government and will not make the mistake of retaining the NPP. That to many will be very suicidal.
Who will be elected by the NPP as the flag bearer?
This is difficult to tell without data and science. However, Dr. Bawumia’s involvement in the current leadership dispensation of the country as vice President does not make him the favourite in any way.
The NPP will make history if they elect Vice President Bawumia as the party’s first Presidential candidate from the North. This is, however, not a likely outcome. Former Minister of Trade, Alan Kyeremanteng, may outsmart the rest of the contenders and find his picture on the 2024 presidential elections ballot paper.
The NDC on the other hand has a 95% chance of voting for Former President John Mahama as its 2024 Presidential Election Candidate.
Former President John Mahama has been marketed by the NPP through their failed promises, corruption; Galamsey issues just a few to mention. The economy of the country has been in the worst order under the NPP in the history of Ghana.
They have made John Mahama the most attractive candidate to lead this nation in 2025 than their own would-be candidates.
The NPP message to the electorate will be watered down at all levels by the NDC, no matter who is elected Presidential candidate of the ruling NPP.
