New Transport Fare Increment By GPRTU Finally Drops and Causes Stir -Check List Here

New Transport Fare Increment
GPRTU has finally announced the new transport fare increment after several deliberations and threats of a possible increase.
Commuters around the nation awoke to an increase in transportation rates on Friday, 24 hours before the agreed-upon date of October 29.
The move is consistent with the Ghana Private Road Transport Union’s (GPRTU) decision to raise tariffs in the face of adversity.
Fuel costs have skyrocketed in recent months, causing outrage among drivers who have committed to passing part of the expense on to consumers.
Increased lists have been put at vantage points at various Accra bus stations to warn travellers about the new bus tariffs.
The New Transport Fare Increment has been expected in recent times given the continuous increase in fuel prices at the pumps. With fuel prices ranging between 16GHS and 20Ghs per litre, it became obvious that the Ghana Private Road Transport Union’s (GPRTU) threats of increasing transport fares were going to be implemented.
The increase comes at a time when many Ghanaians are already bearing the brunt of the country’s suffering.
Many people are pleading with the government to take immediate action to ease their suffering.
The following is a collection of listings from some of the most prominent truck stations in the Greater Accra Regional capital.

New Transport Fare Increment By GPRTU and the future expectations
Ghanaians will be hoping that the managers of the economy will wake up and manage their economy to ensure prices stabilize and transport fares remain where they are currently. Further increases in fuel prices will be transferred to commuters in the form of increased lorry fares which will continue to deplete the already low incomes in the face of increasing cost of food among other essentials
