Gov’t to Pay Private BECE Examination Fees for 2020 BECE Candidates who Failed

The Gov’t of Ghana to pay Private BECE examination fees 2020 BECE candidates who failed. The 2020 BECE saw not less than 40,000 students being denied enrollment into SHS; some of these students failed (Obtained grade 9) in one or more subjects such as English and Mathematics.
The government of Ghana has indicated that the examination fees of such students will be paid so that they can prepare and take the 2021 Private BECE which will be held from 12th April 2021.
This was disclosed by Director-General of GES, Prof Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa on the Accra-based Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show
He, however, added that the government will absorb registration fees of the public school students who could not pass last year’s BECE but would like to resit the exams this year.

“So if you could not pass last 2020 BECE, kindly go back to the school you completed and register, the government will absorb the registration fees for you to write again and pass,” he told the host of Kokrokoo show. Private BECE examination fees

This second window of opportunity must be good news for students who missed the placement due to poor performance however, parents and guardians need to enlighten their children and inspire them to take advantage of this opportunity. Such students need guidance and counseling at this critical moment.
