Ghana Education News: Launching of NCOPST crowdfunding website to support vulnerable private and deprive schools and teachers in West Africa.
The National Council of Private School Teachers (NCOPST) is a registered council for all private school teachers in Ghana with Registration number CG059052020 under the Registrar General’s Department of Ghana.
NCOPST is the mother Association for Teachers in the private sector in Ghana.
NCOPST vision is to provide a better livelihood for all private school teachers in Ghana and in West Africa through consultation with employers, Tripartite Committee to implement better condition of service in the teaching field, Entrepreneurship and Digital Skills Training Programme, and other Programmes
The unfavourable condition of service in private Education in Ghana and in West Africa has led to the poor living standards of all private school teachers.
Many are the teachers who are hit with critical health conditions and abandoned by their employers. Private school teachers during Covid 19 era lose their jobs and were denied salaries for one good year because of the bad conditions of service in the private schools. Currently, private school teachers in Ghana and in West Africa are living on high debts. Some Teachers experienced divorce, homeless, death, and critical health conditions
Due to the poor living standard of private school teachers in Ghana and in West Africa, NCOPST has launched a crowdfunding Website called NCOPST Foundation Africa for these vulnerable private school teachers in Ghana and West Africa to raise funds to solve challenges and save lives.
