NIA Free and Paid Ghana Card Services Announced

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced free and paid Ghana Card Services for the general public.
The prices for paid and free services for members of the general public are for obtaining the Ghana Card, making of corrections or updating of existing data with the authourity.
According to the communique from the NIA, the free services of the authority will be offered in all its district offices. Other paid but less expensive services will also be offered in the 276 district offices; however, in its premium service centres, only premium services will be offered.
Per the information made public and cited by Ghana Education News, persons applying for the first issue of the Ghana Card will get the service for free at the district offices, while the same service will cost GHS310.00 at its premium centres.
In the district offices, card replacement services will cost GHS 125.00, while it will cost GHS 420.00 in its premium centres.
Existing cardholders who want to update their records at the district offices will get the service for free but the same service will cost GHS310 at the premium centres.
Where an existing cardholder wants to update his or her record as well as replace the card. It will cost GHS60.00 at all 275 district offices but in the premium centres, it will cost GHS355.00.
For those who intend to update their nationality status, it will cost GHS70.00 at the district offices and GHS365 at the premium centres.
Interest Ghanaians who want to access any of the above-mentioned services are encouraged to visit the district and premium centres based on their preferences to get the service delivered.

The public is also advised to ensure they have all the relevant details they want to change or update handy. Those registering for the first time should have the relevant information, including their GhanaPost Digital Address, to make the registration process seamlessly easy and fast.
