Opoku Ware Subdues Exuberant Prempeh College, Marches into NSMQ 2023 Finals

Opoku Ware silenced Loud Prempeh College to make it to the finals of the NSMQ 2023.
In a thrilling semi-final clash, Opoku Ware School (OWASS) silenced their boisterous rivals, Prempeh College and Pope John SHS & Min.Sem to secure a spot in the grand final of the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ). They unleashed Stephen Baah, their form one student who did the magic once again.
The keenly contested match saw all schools display their academic prowess, but in the end, it was OWASS who emerged victorious with a score of 38 points, 5 points clear of Prempeh College and Pope John SHS & Min.Sem.
OWASS started the match strongly, taking an early lead in the first round. They maintained their dominance throughout the contest, answering questions with confidence and accuracy.
Prempeh College, on the other hand, struggled to find their rhythm in the early stages of the match. They made a few uncharacteristic errors, which allowed OWASS to build a comfortable lead.
In the second round, Prempeh College mounted a spirited comeback but that could not narrow the deficit. OWASS held their nerve and answered the crucial questions each time they came knocking to seal the victory.
The victory was a sweet one for OWASS, who had lost to who was undermined by Prempeh College. They will now face either Achimota School and one more school in the finals on 24 October 2024.
Prempeh College will be disappointed to have missed out on a place in the semi-finals, but they can take heart from their spirited performance. They will be hoping to bounce back stronger next year.
