Police Rescue Kubease Chief From Kidnappers

The Ghana Police Service have rescued Nana Ottupre Kwagyan, the chief of Kubease, who was recently kidnapped by unknown men in Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region.
The Chief according to a statement from the police was rescued at Abene. The Chief is currently in safe custody while the investigation continues to get the perpetrators arrested.
In a press statement released by the Ghana Police on Monday, the victim, in the early morning of Monday, October 16, 2023, was forcefully taken from his house by some six (6) persons to an unknown location.

“The Police have rescued one Nana Ottupre Kwagyan, the chief of Kubease, a suburb of Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region who was allegedly kidnapped by some unknown men.
Preliminary Police report has indicated that the alleged victim, in the early morning of today Monday, 16th October 2023, was forcefully taken from his house by some six (6) persons to an unknown location.

The swift intervention of the Police following a report of the incident led to the rescue of the victim at Abene. The victim is currently in safe custody while the investigation continues to get the perpetrators arrested.”

The 16 NPP thugs who invaded United Television on Saturday, 7th October, 2023, have been convicted and fined 200 penalty units which amounts to Ghc2400 each by the Achimota Magistrate Court.
The men were charged with criminal conspiracy. The individuals who accepted the accusations were later found guilty by the court.
On Saturday, October 7, while the entertainment network “United Showbiz” was on, thugs attacked the studios of UTV, disrupting live work and threatening to harm the broadcaster and his guests.
