Princess Enam Avoxe of Amrahia Community School Wins 2025 Junior Graphic National Essay Competition

The Graphic Communication Group, publishers of the Junior Graphic, has declared Princess Enam Avoxe of Amrahia Community School the winner of the 2025 Junior Graphic National Essay Competition.
The nationwide contest, which began in the third term of the 2024/2025 academic year, attracted close to 1,000 entries from basic schools across the country.
Princess Enam Avoxe, together with ten other learners from Grades 6 to 8 at Amrahia Community School, submitted entries for this year’s competition. Out of the group, Princess distinguished herself, advancing to the national finals in Accra as one of the top 50 finalists. Her outstanding performance subsequently earned her a place among the top 10 finalists — and ultimately the overall national title.
On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, the Junior Graphic officially announced Princess Enam Avoxe as the national winner, sparking excitement and jubilation among teachers and learners at Amrahia Community School.
For emerging first, she will receive a cash prize of GH₵2,500, a tablet, a certificate of participation, and assorted products from the sponsors.

According to the Junior Graphic’s December 3 edition, Princess’ winning essay met all the criteria of an excellent submission, demonstrating exceptional clarity, coherence, and a strong command of the selected topic.
The editor of the Junior Graphic, Mrs. Hannah A. Amoah, disclosed in an interview—sighted by Ghana Education News—that a grand awards ceremony will be held in 2026 to honour all winners.
During the national finals, contestants were presented with three questions and required to respond to one. Princess clinched the top spot with her essay addressing Question 3, which read:
Q1. People who live along our rivers are complaining about the devastating effects of galamsey on their health. Discuss three problems of galamsey and their solutions.
