There are several reasons why your 2022 WASSCE result checker may not work even though it is valid and from a genuine source.
The factors that account for students not being able to check their results with their result checkers are either a mistake from the students, the one checking the result or other factors.
Reasons why your 2022 WASSCE result checker may not work
This article will outline the possible causes of the WAEC result portal rejecting a valid result-checking Pin Code.
Knowing these factors and taking precautionary measures can help you avoid the stress of realizing that your result checker isn’t working.
One of the reasons why your result checker may not work is that if you try to access the results three times before the release of the actual results by the West African Examination Council. Note that the checker can be used only three times, after which you will need another checker to check the same results for the student.
Again, if you buy the result checker from unapproved sources, they may sell a fake result checker to you. Should you buy such a result checker, you will not be able to access the result when it is released.
Also, if you open up your result checker to your friends who are also getting ready to check their results, there are chances that they could quickly transfer or copy your results checker from your phone and use it before you even before you check it.
They can take a screenshot or a photo of it with their phone whilst you are looking elsewhere and go ahead to use the result checker.
Be vigilant if you have the result checker. Do not let your friends have it.
If any of these should happen, you will not be able to check your results with your result checker again.
In case you attempt to check the results for the first time, and you enter the wrong index number which is an index number existing in the database of WAEC for the year, you will not be able to check with the accurate index number because the WAEC result portal will match the valid result checker with the wrong index number and reject your accurate index number which is actually correct.
Using your correct index number, for instance. If a student in your school has an index number that ends with 334 and yours ends with 344, but you make a mistake by entering the wrong index number let’s say 334 instead of 344 then once you correct the index number during your second attempt, the result checking portal will reject the correct index number. It sees the result checker as being used by another student.
This would mean that you can no longer use it with your correct index number to check your results.
Finally, note that WAEC permits the use of the result checker only three times on its system or on its result-checking portal, hence if you use it 3 times you, will not be able to use it to check your result for the fourth time. You will need to buy a new one.
Take note of the above reasons and good luck as you check your WASSCE 2022 results for school candidates.
