Ghana Education News can confirm that the recruitment of qualified teachers into public sector schools has begun.
The recruitment of qualified teachers is being done with the support of the National Council of Private School Teachers (NCOPST). NCOPST is mobilizing qualified private school teachers into the public sector but applicants must meet the basic requirements according to the council.
Requirements for recruitment of qualified teachers into public sector schools
Applicant must have the following
1. An applicant must have a Diploma or degree or master in an education-related certificate.
2. Must have a Teacher License
3. Must have completed National Service and obtained the relevant Certificate
Qualified Teachers are to submit a photocopy of the requirements in person to the office of NCOPST at St John’s Preparatory School, Achimota – Accra

According to Mr. Ackon James, the NCOPST Director all private school teachers who got their diploma or degree or master in education certificate before 2018, can be assisted by NCOPST to acquire the Teacher License.
