Renew Business Names by June 6th to Avoid Removal from Register: Registrar General
The Office of the Registrar General has informed all business owners who have registered their businesses with the outfit to renew their business names by June 30, 2024, to avoid the removal of such business names from the register.
This was contained in a communiqué sent to persons who have registered their business via an SMS alert.
“The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) wishes to remind its clients to RENEW their BUSINESS NAMES by 30/06/2024.” the message said.
The Registrar of Companies (ORC) furthered that businesses that fail to comply with the directive will have their business names removed from the register. Such an action will offer others who want such names an opportunity to re-register them as new businesses.
“Failure to do so will cause the BUSINESS NAME to lapse and be REMOVED from the business register, which will fall into the public domain and be used by anyone else.”
How To Renew Business Names by June 6th to Avoid Removal from Register
Business owners have therefore been directed to take proactive steps to renew their businesses by dialing *222# and following the prompts.
- You can RENEW by dialing *222#
- Select 4 which is ORC, and follow the prompts.
Businesses can also sign up with the Ghana.Gov.Gh platform and make payments.
Payment for the renewal can also be done at the office of the ORC, onsite at the Fidelity Banks in Accra/Regional Offices.
