The news, Newly posted teacher commits suicide was the least bad news teachers expected as they got ready for the 2021 Easter Break.
The entire Zabzugu district of the Northern Region woke up to the shocking news that a newly posted teacher by the Ghana Education Service to the district has committed suicide at her residence.
The incident is suspected to have occurred the night before, and town folks are wondering what might have triggered such a decision.
The decease, a newly posted teacher, teaches in the Tatale Sanguli district, although she resides in Zabzugu.

Friends of the teacher whose name is yet said it was very unusual for her to remain indoors in the morning since they had to report to work. Her phone was called several times but there was no response.
Her colleagues according to our sources were worried about the tension that was rising. Their suspicion led to the decision to break the door, which seemed to have been locked from the inside of the residence.
When access into the room was attained, her lifeless body was seen hanging up with a sponge connecting her neck to the roof of the room whiles she was in the kneeling position.

It is believed she might have used the bathing sponge to take her own life
When queried about what compelled them to look out for her, this was what they said.
“This morning, we didn’t see her, and we kept calling, but she was not answering. So we became suspicious and when we entered her room, we found her dead,” one of her friends who did not disclose her name said.
She left no message, the reasons why she committed suicide are not known yet. She was known as a calm and quiet lady by the residence in Zabzugu where she lived.
A careful look at the environment shows a knife lying on the floor.
The Ghana Police have deposited the body of the deceased at the Yendi Hospital morgue for the necessary autopsy and preservation while it carries out its investigations into the crime.
