The Government of Ghana (GoG) has announced all public holidays to be observed in Ghana in 2025. In total, there are 13 Statutory Public Holidays and 2 Commemorative Days to be observed in the Republic of Ghana for the year 2025.
This number of holidays may decrease or increase if the incoming government decides to remove some of the existing ones or add new holidays.
Out of the current 13 Statutory Public Holidays, 2 of them—Eid-Ul-Fitr and Eid-Ul-Adha—do not have exact dates. The dates for their observation will be announced during the year.
Additionally, Ghana will have two Commemorative Days, which will not be observed as public holidays. This means Ghanaians will be expected to work on these days. Ghana’s Commemorative Days for 2025 are African Union Day on 25th May and Republic Day on 1st July 2025.
