Shalimar Abbiusi deported to her native country, Belgium after being allegedly representing fake documents presenting as a student of Ghana Christian University College in order to acquire her permanent resident permit.
According to Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), her continuous stay in Ghana is unlawful and therefore has to be deported.
The lawyers for the spokesperson of the New Force Political movement has questioned decisions taken by the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) for accusing their client continuous stay in the country as illegal.
The lead Lawyer for Shalimar Abbiusi, Francis Xavier Sosu, Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency confirmed the deportation of Miss Shalimar Abbiusi in an interview with Accra based Citi FM and described the decision taking by Ghana Immigration Service as unfair as it prevents their client from enjoying her Fundamental Human Rights
“I picked information that sometime last night, she was being escorted to board the Brussels Airline to Belgium. But clearly, this is so shameful and disgraceful.
“Because she was not deported from Ghana and there was no deportation order by the Minister but an Executive Instrument. So holding her and even denying her access to her lawyers and even her Family and escorting her with men in uniform was a violation. When you revoked the person’s visa and said that leave our jurisdiction within 24 hours, she could move from Ghana to Togo. She has the Liberty to move anywhere else that she can go.” lawyer Francis Savier Sosu.
Miss. Abbiusi became well known in Ghana after they posted a video of her representing the New Force as their Spokesperson.
In the viral video, Shalimar denies allegations against someone claiming to be the face behind the New Force Billboard mounted in many cities in Ghana
