SHS 1 Double Track Calendar Released By GES
The Ghana Education Service (GES) after consultations with Heads of Senior High Schools (SHSs) has released SHS 1 Double Track Calendar to run a gold and green track system for the first-year SHS 1 students has released the double-track calendar for the shift system.
According to the SHS 1 Double Track Calendar sighted by Ghanaeducation.org, all Form 1 SHS students will report to school Thursday, March 18, 2021 will to commence the first semester of the 2020/2021 academic year.
SHS 1 Double Track First Semester
Green track students will report to school from Thursday, March 18, until June 2021 whilst Gold track students also report to school from March 18 until May 2021. Academic activities for both tracks will start on March 22.
Double track Second semester
Green track students for the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year will return to school on September 1, 2021, and vacate on December 18, 2021, and Gold track students from June 30, 2021, to December 18, 2021.
The Education Service has indicated not all schools will run a double-track system for the 4th batch of the Free SHS beneficiaries. According to GES only category “A” and “B,” Senior High Schools will run a double-track.
Single Track First semester
Single track Senior High Schools (SHS) will report to school from Thursday, March 18, 2021, and break for academic activities on June 30, 201
Single Track Second semester
They will return to school on September 1, 2021, for the second semester and vacate on December 18, 2021, with double-track schools.
