JHS Student Sets Mum In Flames, Murders Her Over Missing Phone Memory Card
It is odd to hear a JHS student has murdered his mother over a missing phone memory card and not his missing textbook. Students today are so much interested in mobile phones than their books, yet they do not use the phones for learning or put them to good use such as research.
Such is the case of one Emmanuel Gyan who blamed his mother, Madam Faustina Agyeiwaa, a 52-year-old woman, for taking illegal possession of his phone.

Emmanuel was not kind and considerate after he found out that some components of his phone were missing. Sources to this portal said he hit the mother with a pestle on the head several times. The woman lost consciousness and the suspect, Emmanuel set her in flames to burn her.

The backward act took place at Wassa J.Y No.1 in the Sefwi Wiaso District on Monday 15th March 2021.
The sad incident was reported to the Sefwi Wiaso Police by the boy’s father and one Stephen Amponsah.
The body of the deceased Madam Faustina Agyeiwaa has been deposited at the Bibiani Government Hospital.
When the news broke indicating a Junior High School (JHS) student has murdered the mum over a memory card, everyone was surprised. He is currently in the custody of the Ghana Police and investigations into the matter have commenced.

If a JHS student sets mum in flames and murders her over a missing phone memory card, then this country has a lot to do, especially with education on better use of phones among the youth and children.
