2023 Africa Cup of Nations Groups, Senegal drawn in group of death

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Groups are now known after the draw was held in Ivory Coast on Thursday 12th October 2023.

Holders Senegal were drawn in Group C of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, alongside former champions Cameroon and neighbours The Gambia and Guinea.

The draw, which took place in Abidjan on Thursday, was described as a “group of death” by Senegal forward Sadio Mane, who was one of the African football legends drawing the teams.

“It’s a really difficult group,” Mane said. “Cameroon is going to be really tough but we will give our best to go through in the first round.”

Senegal beat Egypt on penalties to win their first Afcon title in 2022, and will be looking to retain their crown in Ivory Coast next year.

From the look of things, the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Groups are all tough groups and it is not going to be easy for any team.

Morocco drawn in Group F

World Cup semi-finalists Morocco were drawn in Group F, alongside DR Congo, Zambia and Tanzania.

Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, who was selected in the 2021 Afcon Team of the Tournament, said that his team will be looking to do their best in the tournament.

“We will try to do our best during this Afcon, similar to what we did in the World Cup,” Hakimi said. “We have a good team, a good group and we will do our best to win.”

Hosts Ivory Coast drawn with Nigeria

Hosts Ivory Coast were drawn in Group A, alongside Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.

The Elephants will be hoping to win their third Afcon title, after winning in 1992 and 2015.

Other draw highlights

In other draw highlights, neighbours South Africa and Namibia were drawn alongside Tunisia and Mali in Group E, which looks the most competitive of the tournament.

Mozambique, whose absence from the finals since 2010 is the longest of any team involved this time, will play in Group B alongside Mohamed Salah’s Egypt, who missed out on an eighth title on penalties in the 2021 final to Senegal. Ghana and Cape Verde complete the group.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Ivory Coast from 13 January until 11 February.

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, draw has been conducted. The draw was conducted at the brand-new Parc des Expositions, Abidjan, on Thursday. Check out Ghana Group list.

The tournament had originally been scheduled to begin in June 2023. But it was rearranged due to fears that the weather during the rainy season in host nation Ivory Coast may cause disruptions.

The event, which was hosted by music icon Akon on Thursday night, saw several African football legends in attendance.

The draw saw defending champions, Senegal housed in group C alongside Cameroun, Guinea, and Mozambique.

Moreover, Ghana, as a potential team for this fifth continental title, is in Group B alongside Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique. What a privilege for us.

Hosts Ivory Coast landed in Group A alongside Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau. Nigeria’s Super Eagles are placed in Group A alongside the host nation Ivory Coast. The AFCON defending champions Senegal are in Group C alongside Cameroon, Guinea and The Gambia.

The 34th edition of the tournament, which Ivory Coast will host for the second time after the previous time was in 1984, will take place between January 13 and February 11, 2024.

All group winners and runners-up and the four highest-ranked third-placed teams qualify for the knockout stage.

The tournament will take place in January, 2024.

First spot on the list is Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, who has a value in excess of €250 million.

The 23-year-old has a release clause of €1 billion at Real, meaning that in the event that he at any point want to leave the Bernabeu, it would be for a charge significantly higher than his actual value.

In behind Vinicius is Real Madrid team-mate Jude Bellingham, whose genuine transfer value is also in excess of €250 million.

The 2023 TotalEnergies AFCON Côte d’Ivoire draw was held on Thursday, 12 October 2023 at the Parc des Expositions in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The draw was conducted by CAF President Patrice Motsepe and former Côte d’Ivoire international Didier Drogba.

The 24 teams were drawn into six groups of four, with each group containing one team from each of the four seeding pots. The seeding pots were based on the teams’ FIFA rankings as of 25 September 2023.

Injury Update: Bukayo Saka Withdrew From England National Team

It has been sad news to Mikel Arteta the manager (Coach) for Arsenal Football Club following the injury of Bukayo Saka during the EUFA Champions League game last week. Saka withdrew from the England National team following the injury he picked during the Champions League game.

Bukayo Saka has been a good gem for Arsenal football club. His absence has been felt during the clash against Manchester City last weekend. In the absence of Bukayo Saka in the Arsenal team, Gabriel Jesus was made to play his role from the right wing. Bukayo Saka has been very instrumental in the English Premier League and the EUFA Champions League this season. His goal-scoring abilities and perfect assist are remarkable facts about Bukayo Saka.

In the England National Team, the great service of Bukayo Saka has been witnessed for a very long time. His incredible performance at the just-ended FIFA World Cup in Qatar is also on record. Real Madrid tops the Laliga table after 9th game in the season. The league match between Real Madrid and Osasuna was scheduled for the 7th of October 2023. The impressions from fans of Real Madrid and Osasuna before the match were different compared to the impressions of the fans at the end of the game.

All inspirations were high and the hope was alive that Osanuna fans believed that they were going to win the match. On the side of Real Madrid fans, it was a done deal. At the end of the game, Real Madrid gave an impressive performance by defeating Osanuna by four goals to nil. Just as the expectations of Real Madrid fans may have it, Jude Bellingham was able to secure two goals against Osasuna and his friend who plays as a left winger named Vinicius Junior also scored a goal and the fourth goal came from Joselu. Real Madrid could have made it five but they missed a penalty.

Real Madrid never regrets signing Jude Bellingham this season. History and records show that it has been about six (6)years to Seven (7) Years since Arsenal defeated Manchester City in the English Premier League. In the season of 2022/2023, Manchester City defeated Arsenal in the final tie and Manchester City was able to receive the crown as EPL champions for the third time in a row.

The 2023/2024 season of the English Premier League featured Manchester City and Arsenal on the 8th of October 2023. The classic and tough game commenced at exactly 3:30 P.m. Both sides were aggressive in securing the first goal for the match. However, glorious chances were missed by both sides, and the first half of the game ended goalless. After the 15-minute break, the second half of the game started with a serious domination of Arsenal taking over the game. Manchester City was able to soak the pressure until the only goal that separated both sides occurred. The goal was scored by the number-shirted man on the side of Arsenal named Martinelli. Martinelli scored the goal in the in the 86th minute.

Reasons Why Arsenal Defeated Manchester City in the English Premier League.

The first to talk about was the perfect substitution made by Mike Arteta the coach for Arsenal. In the second half, Martinelli came to replace Trossad, Kai Harvertz came in to replace Edward Nketiah and Thomas Partey came to replace Jorginho. The game changed completely these players appeared on the field and Arsenal started dominating the game. One of the fantastic issues has to do with how the goal was scored. The substitutes contributed greatly to the scoring. On Sunday, 8th October, 2023, there was a titanic Premier League clash that had a huge amount on the line as Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side hosted Pep Guardiola’s champions, Manchester City, at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon. There was nothing between the two sides for almost its entirety, but Gabriel Martinelli struck late on with a deflected effort that eventually proved decisive as the winning goal.

Arsenal Beats Man City For The First Time Since 2015

Gabriel Martinelli’s late goal gave Arsenal a 1-0 victory over title rivals Manchester City in the biggest game of the Premier League season so far.
The Brazilian’s 87th-minute shot hit Nathan Ake in the face and deflected past a wrong-footed Ederson, giving Arsenal the lead and subsequently a three huge points.

In the last twelve matches between the two teams, Arsenal has not recorded a win. Their best was a draw, which occured only twice. Manchester City has dominated over Arsenal for the past eight.

This curse has been broken as Arsenal showed their strength by defeating them 1:0.
