New cut-off grades for KNUST 2024/2025 undergraduate admissions

KNUST Confirms Official Reporting Date for 2026 Freshmen Cut-off grades for KNUST 2024/2025 undergraduate admissions

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has released cut-off grades for the KNUST 2024/2025 undergraduate admissions. This was announced after the release of the 2024 WASSCE results for students.

The university has also called on students to check and correct any errors in their data already submitted for admission. The information students are to verify before close of admissions on 3rd January are as follows:

  1. names
  2. dates of birth
  3. examination records such as index numbers, exam type, and year.

 

Applicants are also encouraged to review their programme choices, referencing the 2023/2024 cut-off points to guide realistic decisions.

KNUST Opens 2024/2025 Admissions Portal – Apply Here

Vice Chancellors Ghana

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has opened the 2024/2025 admissions portal for undergraduate degree programmes.

Eligibility Criteria

WASSCE/SSSCE/ADVANCED LEVEL/MATURE/ABCE/GBCE AND IB CANDIDATES

WASSCE/SSSCE Holders who have credit passes (A1-C6/A-D respectively) in the following Three (3) Core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science plus credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in Three Elective subjects with an Aggregate Score of 24 or better in the relevant area of study.

GENERAL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE (GBCE) AND ADVANCED BUSINESS CERTIFICATE (ABCE):

Credit passes in at least SIX (6) subjects including English Language and Business Mathematics at the GBCE and,
Credit passes in the THREE (3) relevant Compulsory subjects and THREE (3) Optional subjects at the ABCE. Applicants need both GBCE and ABCE to qualify.
ADVANCED LEVEL Holders with credit passes in at least Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics plus at least Three (3) credit passes in the relevant subjects at the Advanced Level.

MATURE STUDENTS

Mature students who have attained the age of 25 years or above at the time of Application and have credit passes in Five (5) GCE ‘O Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to passing an Entrance Examination and/or Interview.

HND HOLDERS

HND Holders with Three (3) years relevant working experience in addition to the Minimum Entry Requirements at WASSCE/SSSCE or Five (5) credit passes at GCE O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

International Applicants and all others who have any of the above qualifications or their equivalent from an accredited/recognized institution may apply. Applicants from French speaking countries must in addition to the Minimum Requirement provide a minimum of one-year English Proficiency Certificate.
