The Gambia’s top Law Student is a Ghanaian Student.

Ghanaian student Ms. Keren Naa Ayiyaakor Lamptey of the GIMPA Law School has excelled in The Gambia Law School, winning the title of top law student.
Ms. Lamptey made history at The Gambia Law School by winning four important prizes, including Best Female Student, Best Student in Criminal Procedure, and Best Student in English and Legislative Drafting, according to a statement obtained by the Ghana News Agency.

During her farewell address, Ms Lamptey acknowledged the African saying that “it takes a whole village to raise a child into prominence” and expressed her sincere thanks for her friends’ and colleagues’ support.
She exhorted her fellow graduates to endure in the face of difficulties, stressing the need of a steadfast focus on objectives and the lessons that may be gained from failures.

While recognising the assistance of teachers and other students, Ms. Lamptey emphasised the value of teamwork and shared learning experiences in the overall achievement of the student body.
In addition, she advocated for the ability of overseas students to practise law in the nation in which they are called to the bar by pleading with The Gambia Law School administration to contemplate relaxing laws for them.
