Three Kasoa fathers arrested for alleged sexual abuse of their daughters after school reported the horrific abuse

Kasoa has been hit with a deeply disturbing child-protection scandal after three fathers were arrested for allegedly sexually abusing their own daughters.
The arrests followed a formal complaint filed by the Awutu Senya East Municipal Education Directorate, prompting swift action by the Ghana Police Service.
According to officials, the victims gathered the courage to report the ongoing abuse to their Girl-Child Education and Guidance & Counselling coordinators, who then escalated the matter. The Directorate says these incidents are part of a worrying rise in child sexual abuse cases in the municipality.
Police confirmed that all three suspects—who are the biological fathers of the victims—have since been arrested and are cooperating with investigators.
The Municipal Education Directorate expressed serious concern over the persistent violation of children’s rights in communities within Awutu Senya East. Officials say the lack of strong support systems leaves many vulnerable children exposed for far too long.
They further highlighted a major gap: CHRAJ, despite operating 16 regional and 182 district offices nationwide, has no branch in Awutu Senya East. This forces many victims to travel long distances to seek help—something many cannot afford.
Child-protection advocates say the latest arrests should serve as a wake-up call for community leaders, schools, parents, and security agencies to reinforce coordinated action against abuse.

The Directorate has renewed its call for stronger community surveillance, quicker reporting channels for children, a CHRAJ office in the municipality, and more education on child rights and protection.
As investigations continue, residents are urging authorities to ensure the girls receive psychosocial support, safety, and justice.
