The TVET service has released the vacation date as well as the reopening date of all Traditional and Single Track Institutions under its management.

TVET Schools Vacation and Reopening Dates for 2023 Out Details
According to the letter signed by Mawusi Nudekor Awity, Director-General of the TVET Service, all TVET schools are to vacate on 13th December 2022 and reopen for the first term/ semester of the 2023 academic year on 9th January 2023.
The given reopening date relates to all TVET single tracks. The communication further added that Traditional Institutes will on 16th December 2022 break for the Christmas holidays and resume on 9th January 2023 for the new academic year.
The reopening date for first-year students to be admitted into TVET schools will however be communicated later after the release of the 2022 BECE results and the subsequent release of the school placement for students.
In a related development, the Ghana Education Service has directed all public basic schools to postpone vacation today, the 15th of December to Friday 16th of December to ensure that Basic Four pupils writing the 2022 National Standardised Test take their examination scheduled for Friday 16th December 2022.
The change of vacation date which was announced by the GES in the Twilight of Wednesday 14th December has been greeted with mixed reactions. The affected staff members of the service have argued that the leadership of the GES needs to communicate such information ahead of time to help teachers, many of whom have planned their activities and personal commitments using the earlier announced vacation date of Thursday 15th December 2022.

The vacation date for Public Basic Schools for Third Term has been shifted to Friday 16th December, 2022.
This is to enable the Primary Four (P4) pupils write the National Standardised Test on Friday, 16th December, 2022.
Re-opening date for First Term of the next academic year is 10th January, 2023.
