UCC extends admission deadline for Ed. degree programme (Switch 3.1)

The University of Cape Coast’s management has extended the admission period for the Ed. degree programme, also known as Switch 3.1. The programme aims to assist teachers who currently qualify to teach only at the basic school level to attain a degree that will qualify them to teach at the secondary school level. This means a teacher who teaches English, for instance, at the junior high school can vertically progress to teaching English at the SHS level upon completion of the programme.

The Ed. degree programme (Switch 3.1) is a three-year curriculum. We expect it to produce ‘ straight-jacketed’ graduates who are eligible for admission into master’s degree programmes in their specific subject of interest or practice.

According to the UCC, the fees per semester are GHS1650.00, whereas the admission form costs GHS150.00.

The new deadline for admission is 15 August 2024.

Interested applicants can buy the admission voucher code via the shot code *966*3*554#. When entering the short code, the applicant must choose option 2, which is Switch 3.1, to proceed with payment. Enter your student name and your email, then proceed.
