UEW Vice Chancellor Sends Message To All UEW Fresh Students
Professor Mawutor Avoke, vice chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba has sent some messages to all fresh students of the university.
Professor Avoke’s messages to the fresh students is Welcome Message to the fresh student. It is a message to encourage the fresh students as they begin their journey at the university.
Below is his full welcome message.
“I have the distinct honour and pleasure of welcoming our cherished freshmen and women to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), for the 2022–2023 academic year.
“You are among the fortunate few to have gained admission to our prestigious institution with a special mandate to train the right calibre of professional educators needed to drive and steer the country’s development agenda toward rapid economic and social progress. On behalf of Management, I congratulate you for emerging victorious in the competitive selection process.
“Let me reassure you that your decision to enroll at UEW is strategic and professional, because the knowledge and ideas you will pick up during the course of your studies will undoubtedly equip you to become competent, result-driven, and accountable individuals ready to contribute your quota to efforts to transform and impact society.
“I implore each of you to take full advantage of the fresh opportunities our university is providing to realise your academic goals. I further exhort you to fully utilise all of the resources offered here to achieve your academic objectives.

“Finally, let me remind everyone that there’s a resurgence of the pandemic, and therefore, adherence to the COVID-19 safety protocols, which have been our saving grace — wearing face masks, washing and sanitising hands regularly, maintaining physical immunity by exercising regularly and eating healthily, as well as keeping decent social distances — should be the way to go. Do not hesitate to alert the appropriate authorities if you feel unwell at any point. The University Clinic and other affiliate offices and departments are ready to provide you with the needed support.
