UniMAC has held a celebration for the outgoing of the Lebanese Ambassador
The University of Media,Arts and Communications(UniMAC) has hosted a celebration for the outgoing of the Lebanese Ambassador in Ghana.
This is to acknowledge the Ambassador’s role in strengthening academic cooperation between Ghana and Lebanon through scholarships, lectures and cultural exchanges.Maher Kheir, the Ambassador was celebrated for seven years of dedication service, educational support and cultural diplomacy. Gifts were presented to the Ambassador in recognition of his service and his Personal Assistant, Emmanuel Agorsor, for his pivotal role in maintaining effective communication and facilitating collaboration between the embassy and the university.
The Vice-Chancellor of UniMAC, Prof. Eric Opoku Mensah, commended the Ambassador .He said more than 300 students had benefited from the Lebanese Scholarship programme over the years, with 59 currently enrolled at UniMAC across various academic disciplines.He further commended him on his unwavering commitment and empowering of the youth. He continued saying it had expanded opportunities for students in fields such as public relations, languages, performing arts, film and television, and translation.
The Ambassador also stated that his partnership with UniMAC has been one of the most meaningful part of his diplomatic mission. “Education is the strongest bridge between nations, and the greatest investment we can make for the future,” he declared.On kheir’s departure he also presented a gift to Prof.Mensah. The ceremony highlighted the close partnership between UniMAC and the Lebanese Embassy which provided an opportunity for the university community to express appreciation for the Ambassador’s contributions to Ghanaian education.Due to this partnership,most Ghanaian students especially the students of UniMAC have benefitted positively.
