Updates On KNUST Admission Process And Requirements
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has noticed a continuous growth in the number of admission applications in current years. Desiring students who wish to apply for the 2023/2024 academic year must take note of these updates on KNUST admission procedure and requirements.
This should serve as an approach for all desiring students since every little mistake can hinder the admission process or even cause you not to gain admission.
Updates On KNUST Admission Process And Requirements
Application Form Cost
Ghanaian students are required to pay GHC 250.00 for the KNUST admission form, while international applicants are charged $150.
Essential Guidelines
The Registrar of KNUST has issued some important guidelines that must be followed during the admissions process. These guidelines include:
Examination Slip
Only names that appear on the examination slip(s) will be recognized by the university. Ensure that your name is accurately reflected on the examination slip.
Submission of Documents
Only results and/or documents delivered by applicants at the time of submission of the application will be considered. Make sure to include photocopies of your results slips and/or pertinent certificates in your application form.
Birth Certificate
Include a certified true copy of your birth certificate with your application. This is a compulsory requirement.
Passport-Size Photograph
Include one passport-size photograph with a light green background. Assure that the photograph meets the specified requirements.
Proper Input of Examination Details
It is critical to input examination details, such as your index number and year of exams, perfectly and accurately online. Failure to do so may result in the refusal of admission.
Transparent Admissions Process
Admissions to all programs of study at the university are administered transparently by the Central Undergraduate Admissions Committee. No other considerations or solicitations will be entertained. Any applicant found engaging in solicitation for the purpose of impacting admission does so at their own risk.
Online Application Process
All applicants are required to complete their application process online through the university’s website. Please use the login and pin number provided on the e-voucher for this purpose.

Amendments after WAEC Results
After the release of the WAEC results, the admission portal will be unlocked for one week. During this period, applicants can make amendments to their names, index numbers, year of examination, and choice of programs.
