Chief of Manso Agroyesum in the Amansie South District Nana Tabi III almost died after sliding off his motorbike on the Agroyesum–Kumasi major route, which becomes impassable when it rains.
On Akoma FM’s current events and politics program, GhanAkoma on Thursday, October 27, 2022, the Agroyesum head described how the road almost killed him.
“I was riding a motorbike Wednesday evening when it almost caught in the mud and slipped. We slid off, and I fractured my ankle and had multiple bruises.
The chief informed broadcaster Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin that his region has never had an asphalt road since he became king.
We are anxiously awaiting a politician to campaign here. We’ll expel them. Since President Kufuor, we’ve voted NPP but achieved nothing. He regretted our poor roads.

Amansie South’s lone hospital, St. Martin’s, serves residents in Agroyesum, West, Central, and sections of Fomena and Obuasi. Ambulances can hardly get through to refer patients from Agroyesum to Kumasi and other referral centers due to the bad road.
Nana Tabi III demanded that officials improve the road to prevent future fatalities.
