WAEC Releases Provisional Results for 2025 General & Advanced Business Certificate Examinations

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the provisional results for the 2025 General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) and the Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE).
The release was announced in a statement signed by John K. Kapi, Head of Public Affairs at WAEC. According to the Council, all candidates can now access their results online via the official portal: www.waecgh.org.
Only 129 Candidates Sat for This Year’s Business Certificate Exams
WAEC disclosed the following participation numbers for 2025:

89 candidates sat for the Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE)
-
40 candidates sat for the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE)
Though small in number, the exams remain an important qualification route for candidates seeking business-related certification, advancement, or specialized academic pathways.
WAEC Warns Against Fraudsters and Fake Results Services
In its statement, WAEC issued a strong caution to the public against individuals who claim they can:

change results,
-
upgrade grades, or
-
“fix” failed papers for a fee.
The Council stressed that results are secure, tamper-proof, and fully verifiable only through official WAEC platforms.
Candidates are urged to avoid scammers and rely solely on the authorized portal.
WAEC expressed gratitude to Heads of Schools, Supervisors, Invigilators, Examiners, Security Agenciesand All operational partners.
The Council noted that their collective effort ensured the smooth conduct of the 2025 Business Certificate Exams and made the timely release of results possible.
