WASSCE, BECE exam malpractice would be KILLED first if I become Minister of Education

You, my reader cannot deny the fact that WASSCE, BECE exam malpractice is real and it happened in the 2023 BECE. Infact, it is happening in the WASSCE 2023.

When I become minister of education, exam malpractice would have been the first to tackle.

Because of the rampant malpractices during WAEC exams, we produce a lot of idiots with qualifications.

I would have ensured that when you complete SHS, you won’t write WASSCE in your school as being done now.

Your school would print a cert for you indicating your details.

You will use that cert to register for WASSCE. There would be only 100 centers nationwide. You will choose where to write your WASSCE.

So in the exams’ hall, students from all walks of life would be in the hall with invigilators they may not even know.

A Post I must express interest in adding my voice. Comrades, I tell you, we’re sitting on a time bomb. Look, our country is currently helpless, and the ship is on sail uncontrollably, and we shall very soon sink deep into the waters of massive deaths.

A country where results can just be acquired without merit. Students now have the opportunity to just sit down and get “manufactured” grades.

Yes, I’m also part of the very earlier generation of Ghanaian students, but what we went through was more decent than this.

I wrote my BECE in 2011, sat for my WAEC in 2014.

In 2014, in a village where I attended school, 14 of us sat for the exams and only two people got the required mark to proceed to secondary school, of which I was fortunate to have been part of the two.

Our not too good grade during that time was 34 and the rest were 31, 32 … But none of these students got placement. They went and started again, of which most of them were able to redeemed themselves.

In secondary school, during the exams, I witnessed a situation where one of our tutors was sacked by our then headmaster who is now late for organizing us to pay monies (ghc30.00) for him to arrange for some sort of assistance during the exams.

When the headmaster got wine of this, he immediately constituted measures to have the said tutor sacked even when the exams time hasn’t even started.

And I can tell you, students from that batch are fully baked students who can defend themselves where ever they may find themselves. If any student was able to get good results, then that is a true reflection of the student. So people would suffer like this, and now we have students who just roam around having all manner of good results they knew nothing about. Why won’t we witness a lot of avoidable deaths, why won’t we have a lot of people sitting in the house as a result of unemployment.

If urgent steps aren’t taken to remedy this canker, we should all brace ourselves up for more catastrophe.

We must rise to speak against this, else we would all face the ramifications of this evil.
