The Executive Director of Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG) has been extended a special invitation to the high-level Pan Africa Human Rights and Social Justice Conference by Ben Saul, the respected UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and countering terrorism.
Scheduled to take place at the renowned Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, on June 8 and 9, 2024, this significant event aims to encourage dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders in Africa, with a focus on promoting a human rights-centered approach to combatting terrorism in the region.
The conference aspires to enhance cooperation among African civil society organizations, governmental bodies, and regional entities, with the potential to impact the Special Rapporteur’s upcoming report to the General Assembly in October 2024.
This report will highlight the importance of regional and sub regional bodies in protecting human rights while tackling terrorism-related challenges across the continent.
