Raymond Reddington’s true identity is a hotly debated topic among showgoers. For the first five seasons of the show, both the audience and the majority of the characters believe Reddington’s identity is true.
In the Season Five episode Sutton Ross, viewers learn for the first time that the Raymond Reddington they were following is an imposter.
