Will 2024 WASSCE start on August 5, which is a public holiday?
Since the subjects are practical papers, school and candidates may adjust their dates outside the 5th of August to ensure that the subjects that are to be administered on the holiday are moved to the 6th August.
If invigilators are to supervise these practical sessions, then any practical paper on 5th August cannot be adjourned because it is a public holiday.
What is the implication of the holiday on the exam, examiners, and candidates?
The main WASSCE subjects for the examination will not be affected by the declared holiday.
What is WAEC likely to do?
We do not expect WAEC to make any changes to the current examination timetable.
Will the holiday affect the practical examinations of the Ghana only WASSCE for 2024?
No, it will not affect the examination. Since each practica exam is for unique students, any one scheduled for 5th August can be moved to any other day with it affect the examination and students.
