World’s Tallest Man and Shortest Woman Reunite After Six Years
Sultan Kosen from Turkey and Jyoti Amge from India, the world’s tallest and shortest man and woman respectively has reunited after six years. The two shared a breakfast reunion in California, marking their first encounter since a photoshoot in Egypt six years ago.
With a staggering height difference of over six feet, Sultan Kosen, aged 41 and standing at 8 feet 2 inches, reunited with Jyoti Amge, aged 30 and measuring just 2 feet 0.7 inches tall. The striking contrast between them was captured in a new series of photographs, showcasing Kosen towering over Amge.
In one poignant image, Amge barely reaches the height of Kosen’s shoe, while in another, despite Kosen being seated and Amge standing on a chair beside him, she still struggles to reach his shoulder. These images, released by Turkey’s Anadolu news agency, highlight the extraordinary juxtaposition of their sizes.

Their visit to the United States was reportedly organized by an unnamed American producer, who extended an invitation for them to travel to Los Angeles, where their reunion took place. Plans were also in place to record their meeting.
This reunion comes six years after their last encounter in 2018, when they posed together next to the Great Sphinx of Giza in Egypt. Notably, the Great Sphinx also holds a Guinness World Record as the largest monolithic sculpture in the world.
Sultan Kosen officially gained the title of the world’s tallest living man in 2009, and he holds another record for having the world’s largest hand. His extraordinary height is attributed to a medical condition called pituitary gigantism, which caused his rapid growth after the age of 10.
Reflecting on the challenges and advantages of his stature, Kosen has shared experiences ranging from being able to assist his mother with household tasks to the difficulty of finding appropriately sized clothing and fitting into standard-sized vehicles.
Jyoti Amge, on the other hand, holds the title of the world’s shortest woman since 2011, attributed to her condition of achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism. Despite her diminutive stature, she has made notable appearances in the entertainment industry, including portraying the character of Ma Petite in American Horror Story.
Their extraordinary reunion not only highlights their remarkable physical differences but also serves as a testament to the power of human diversity and the ability to overcome challenges with resilience and grace.
