What is the cutoff point for 2021 Teacher Training College Admissions in Ghana?
Students eying 2021 Teacher Training College admission to offer degree programmes in the various colleges are to note that although the cut-off point has remained at aggregate 30, one must obtain at worse, C6 in any three core subjects and at worse C6 in any two electives to stand a chance of gaining admission into any of the colleges of education in Ghana.
What is the required credit passes for degree programmes in Colleges of Education?
Applicants are to have credit passes (A1-C6) in three core subjects, including Core mathematics and English. Credit passes in two elective subjects (A1-C6) would also be considered in calculating the cut-off points. Students with grades above this range for any elective or core subject can better their chances of admission if they resit the papers and improve the grades.
Besides the above, students must note that since Colleges of Education are now degree-awarding institutions, the requirement for admission as just as the traditional public universities.
Again, the general requirement for admission to the diploma in basic education (DBE) programme for both WASSCE and SSSCE holders is credit in five (5) subjects comprising three (3) core and two (2) elective subjects as specified below for the various options within the programme (credit means A1-C6 for WASSCE and A-D for SSSCE)
When is the 2021 Teacher Training College admission starting?
Currently, there is no exact date for the commencement of admission however, often tertiary institutions commence admission when the first semester is almost at the tail end.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION STUDIES
WASSCE /SSSCE credit passes in English language, mathematics, integrated science or Social studies, and two elective subjects from any SHS programme area of study.
MATHEMATICS/SCIENCE
WASSCE/SSSCE credit passes in English language, core mathematics, integrated science and two elective subjects in the area of Mathematics and/or science (elective mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology)

What are the specific specialization programmes and which colleges offer them?
FRENCH (available at Mount Mary College of Education, Wesley College of education, E.P. College of Education Amedzofe, Bagabaga College of Education and Gbewaa Colleges Education only).
WASSCE/SSSCE credit passes in English language, core Mathematics, Integrated science/ social studies and any two elective subjects including French.
TECHNICAL (available in Akatsi College of Education, Ada College of Education, Komenda College of Education, St. John Bosco College of education, Mampong Technical College of education, St. Joseph’s College of Education, Wiawso College of Education, and Presby College of Education, Akropong.
WASSCE/SSSCE credit passes in English language, core mathematics, integrated science and two elective subjects in mathematics, science and technical education areas of the SHS programme.
