Life is full of ups and downs and unexpected complications that threaten the lives of many and that is the sad reality that faces Jerry Afford, a former student of Acca Academy SHS.

The sad, life-threatening health complications of Jerry have become public knowledge following an appeal launched on Facebook by his colleagues and the 2007 year group.

Jerry’s mobility and compounded challenges of daily life are the result of a tumour located on the left side of his pelvic area.

On a flyer shared by his supportive friends, Jerry is seen in a yellow top and boxer shorts. While forcing a smile to pop up, one can tell from his other image on the same flier that our dear brother needs urgent help.

Life has been terrible and unfriendly since the health complication hit Jerry. Every effort to deal with this tumour in the pelvic area has proved futile given the cost involved.

$30,000 in funding is needed to help him undergo urgent medical treatment to deal with the tumour and put his life back on track. This translates into GHS459,150.60 today.
